MONTREUIL, France – Jamaican sprint star Asafa Powell won at the 2nd leg of French Pro Athle Tour in Montreuil (also EA Classic) on Tuesday (9 June).

Powell topped the men’s 100m field in 10.02 (+0.1m/s wind). Second was Wilfred Koffi of Ivory Coast in 10.24.

In the men’s 110m hurdles, Cuban Yordan O´Farrill clocked his 3rd best time 13.25 (+1.5m/s wind) to shock European Indoor champion Pascal Martinot-Lagarde 13.26 and Wilhelm Belocian, who got a personal best 13.28.

In second start of the season Dayron Robles of Cuba finished 6th in 13.51.

World leader at 1500m Abdelaati Iguider beat World champion Mohammed Aman in the 1000m 2:19.48 to 2:20.11.

Mourad Amdouni of France (last time competed on the track in 2012) won the 1500m in 3:37.40 PB over Turkish Ilham Tanui Ozbilen 3:37.81.

Other male winners Antoine Gakeme of Burundi 800m (1:47.21), Patryk Dobek from Poland 400m hurdles (49.61), Cuban Alexis Copello triple jump 16.58m (+0.7) and home Gaetan Bucki 19.66 shot put.

European Indoor champion Swiss Selina Buchel won the 800m in 2:00.47 ahead of Renelle Lamote 2:00.72 and Joanna Jozwik 2:01.30. Nina Morozova from Russia clocked 12.86 (+1.9) over the hurdles ahead of Cindy Billaud 12.87 and Lolo Jones 12.93 season best.

Ivory Coast´s Marie-Josee Talou topped the 200m in 22.91 ahead of Ivet Lalova 23.04. Russian talent Alyona Lutkovskaya topped pole vault 4.42m (and attempted 4.55m) and Cuban Denia Caballero with only valid throw 65.22m won the discus over home star Melina Robert-Michon 65.04m (her 5th best career mark).
