LUZERN, Switzerland – Jamaicans Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake will face-off at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern, an EA Classic meeting, on 14th of July.
Powell and Blake are listed for the men’s 100m. Also in the 100m race will be Trinidad and Tobago’s champion Keston Bledman and Jamaican Nesta Carter.
Veronica Campbell-Brown will compete in the women’s 200m.
World University Games champion Danielle Williams will carry the Caribbean’s flag in the women’s 100m hurdles. She faces a strong field, which includes reigning World champion Brianna Rollins and World leader Sharika Nelvis, both of the United States.
Also in the field are Americans Queen Harrison, Kristi Castlin and Lolo Jones.
In the men’s 110m hurdles, Jamaican champion Omar McLeod will face his strong field to date when he line-up against Americans Aleec Harris, Jason Richardson and Ronnie Ash. Also listed is Cuban Dayron Robles.
Jamaican World leader Jason Morgan completes in the men’s discus while Bernard Lagat runs the 3000m.
