FAYETTEVILLE, USA – World medalist Wallace Spearmon showed early form at Arkansas Invitational with 20.68 over 200m on Friday. It is his fastest indoor 200m time since 2008.
But the best result of the meet was in the women 600m where Nigerian World relay 6th placer Regina George clocked impressive African record 1:25.76, the 8th fastest ever and second best non-Russian or Soviet performer.
In the women 200m, talented junior Regine Williams clocked a fast 23.37secs, personal best over Joanna Atkins 23.59 (she was the fastest in the 400m 52.92).
Jamaican hurdles talent, Carifta Games and Schools Champs winner Omar McLeod, opened his US college career with 6.73 and 7.82 first indoor races ever in the 60m/60m hurdles combination. Clayton Paros won the 400m in 46.46.
