GLASGOW – Christine Ohuruogu and Adam Gemili have withdrawn from this weekend’s Sainsbury’s Glasgow Grand Prix on 11–12 July, informs british athletics website.
After missing a block of training earlier in the summer, Ohuruogu, the 2013 World Champion does not feel ready to race the 400m on Saturday.
However, the British record holder is working back to fitness in advance of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Further to this, Gemili has pulled out of the Sainsbury’s Glasgow Grand Prix as a precaution after running 10.04 in Mannheim last weekend.
Gemili was expected to run in the 200m in Glasgow but needed to ease some stiffness he has felt since the race in Germany last weekend.
