The National Commercial Bank (NCB) is spending $3 million to sponsor this year’s Intercollegiate Track and Field Championships.

“We’re back and we’re proud to be the sponsor of another Intercollegiate Championships,” said Christopher Vendryes, Sales Manager, NCB

The Championships, scheduled for Friday, April 7, and Saturday April 8, will see the male and female athletes each receiving $100,000.

Puma will be on board for the first time as kit sponsor for the officials.

“There are Acres of Diamonds in Jamaica” proudly stated Alfred Francis, representative from Puma at the launch.

Gatorade, Island Grill, Pure National Ice and SportsMax are the other sponsors.

Paul Francis, Chairman Quality Logistics Events Management, which runs InterCol, said 36 track and field events will be contested at the meet.

Dalton Myers, President of Jamaica Intercollegiate Sports Association spoke about the importance of the InterCol Championships 2017.

“We want to say thanks to all our student athletes because without them all of this could not be possible,” he further stated.
