Salwa Eid Naser didn't know she was going so fast in Doha 2019

Bahrain World champion Salwa Aid Naser won the women’s 400m at the 7th CISM Military World Games in Wuhan, China.

Naser, who defeated favourite Shaunae Miller-Uibo for gold in Doha, won the Military Games in 50.15secs. The mark is a new meet record.

Polina Miller finished second in 51.49 and Justyna Swiety-Ersetic, third in 52.19.

Abbas Abubakar Abbas, also of Bahrain, took the men’s event 45.84.

Iran’s Hassan Taftian was the men’s 100m winner in 10.24. He beat Brazilian Paulo Andre Oliveira, 10.32 and French Amaury Golitin, 10.35 for the top spot.

The women’s 100m gold medal went to Frenchwoman Carolle Zahi in 11.36 ahead of Brazilians Rosangela Santos, 11.39 and Vitoria Rosa, 11.40.
