SHANGHAI, China – World and Olympic 110m hurdles champion Omar McLeod returns to Shanghai Diamond League for his third consecutive victory on 12 May 2018.
Among his rivals are Jamaicans Ronald Levy and Hansle Parchment, first and second respectively at the recently held Commonwealth Games.
The top class field to be assembled also includes Orlando Ortega of Spain, American World record holder Aries Merritt and 2015 World champion Sergey Shubenkov and Chinese Xie Wenjun.
The women’s 100m hurdles field is headed by World record holder Kendra Harrison of USA. She is going to face tough competition from her countrymates in Olympic champion Brianna McNeal (formerly Rollins), the 2008 Olympic champion and world silver medallist, Dawn Harper Nelson, world indoor silver medallist Christina Manning, and Sharika Nelvis, who was fourth in Birmingham.
Jamaican trio Janieve Russell, the Commonwealth Games champion, Ristananna Tracey and Leah Nugent, are listed for the women’s 400m hurdles.
They will face-off with American Olympic winner Dalilah Muhammad, Georganne Moline, two-time African champion Wenda Nel of South Africa, Canadian Sage Watson and European champion and Rio silver winner Sara Petersen.
