World 2011 100m champion Yohan Blake has taken on former Jamaican 400m hurdler Gregory Little as his new coach.

Blake, who up to the 2018 season, spent his entire professional career under the guidance of Glen Mills, switched to Patrick Dawson to prepare for the 2019 season.

Blake’s manager Cubie Seegobin confirmed the lastest development.

He already started with training for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. He will not compete indoors as it is usual for Jamaican athletes.

Blake, who turns 30 on December 26, was 5th in the 100m final at Doha 2019 World Championships.

He has personal best times of 9.69 (100m) and 19.26 (200m). The former St. Jago sprinter won 100m and 200m silver at the London 2012 Olympic Games behind Usain Bolt. He also helped Jamaica to 4x100m Olympic Games titles in 2012 and Rio 2016.

Blake will only focus on the 100m in 2020.
