KC and STETHS advance, JC disqualified in High School boys' 4x800m at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA (April 27) – Kingston College (KC) and St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) advanced to the final of the High School boys’ 4x800m race at the Penn Relays, while Jamaica College (JC) was disqualified.

KC and DA advanced to the final after their impressive performance in their heat. KC, represented by Schevorn Wardlow, Brian Kiprop, Jaquan Coke, and Ainsley Campbell, finished with a time of 7:54.79, with Wardlow running the first leg in 1:59.10 and Campbell bringing the team home in 1:57.16. DA, represented by Brad Woodhouse, Jad Haichour, Junior Allen, and Iyasu Yemane, finished just behind KC with a time of 7:55.60.

In an earlier heat, STETHS finished second behind Charlotte Catholic from North Carolina, who took first place with a time of 7:54.44. The STETHS team, comprising Nick Potter, Ian Pierce, AJ Painter, and Logan Hill, finished with a time of 7:55.96, securing their place in the final.

St. Elizabeth Tech from Jamaica came in second place with a time of 7:55.96, with Rodree Robinson running the first leg in 1:59.90, Rashid Green taking the second leg in 3:59.98, Joaqueel Miller running the third leg in 6:00.53, and Barrain Smiths bringing the team home in 7:55.96.

The final promises to be an exciting contest, with KC, DA, and STETHS all looking to continue their impressive performances.
