Kingston College (KC), according to the Champs prediction book, are slightly behind while Calabar failed to spark on Day 2.
At the end of Day 2, which had the first set of finals for this year’s contest, three to be exact, defending champions Calabar are yet to get on the score-sheet. They were predicted to pick up 12 and four points in Classes 1 and 2 long jump finals respectively. They weren’t predicted to score in the boys 2,000m open steeplechase.
KC, on the other hand, can be considered on target as they are just one point behind the 28 the book had them to get after three finals. Shammawi Wellington handed KC’s maximum points in the Class 2 boys’ long jump final with 7.16m.
Jamaica College (KC), predicted to be on 21 points, are two points ahead entering Thursday’s third day.
Meanwhile, on the girls side, Edwin Allen are seven points behind while St. Jago, who the book have to finish second, are a point ahead of their predicted 10 at this stage.
Defending champions Holmwood are also doing better than expected, they are three points ahead of the 19.
