Julien Alfred, Kevona Davis and Kemba Nelson are down to contest the women’s 200m on Saturday’s final day of the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas.
St. Lucian Alfred, the second-fastest over 60m in American college this season with 7.15, will race in heat six in the time-final event.
It will be Alfred’s first 200m of the season, but her personal best from 2020 is 22.99.
In her first indoor season, Nelson is also down to race in heat six and will start with 23.53 as her best time. Nelson is the third fastest over 60m with 7.19.
In her first year out of high school, Davis’ season-best of 23.26 makes her the sixth fastest in 2021.
She is down in heat nine to face LSU’s senior Symone Mason, who is 12th fastest this season with 23.38 but has a personal best of 22.76.
LSU’s Thelma Davies, who will be running her first 200m of the season, is the fastest in the field with her personal best of 22.80.
Ka’tia Seymour of Florida State will also be running her first 200m this year with 22.82 as her personal best.
Tamara Clark of Alabama with 22.90 is the third-fastest 200-metre sprinter this season.
Phillip Lemonious, who ran a personal best of 7.72 in the 60m hurdles on Friday, is also down for the 200m.
Xavier Nairne of Oregon will also run the 200m and Sanique Walker of University of Texas, the women’s 800m.

@julien.alfred for the win and i feel a PB is coming with it. This is probably the best indoor line up for the season and promisses to be a thriller.

Kevona Davis is stronger and just as fast 💨 I’m looking forward to see her development that’s a great line up delicious
Kemba on the money
Have my money pan Davis
Davis most be quite upset after yesterday’s outcome. However she will have to add the ‘VCB’ effect where she has to embrass all her competitors by ruining either a low 23.0 Or a high 22.7.
All the way my sister kemba 😍 no doubt about it
