A mixture of local and overseas stars will be on show at the IAAF World Challenge meeting, including Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, training partner Elaine Thompson, the world 200m silver medallist and Asafa Powell, the former 100m world record holder.

The other notable Jamaicans on the list to compete this weekend are IAAF World Championships 400m bronze medallist Shericka Jackson, Novlene Williams-Mills, who ran that stunning anchor leg to led her team to gold in the 4×400 in Beijing, last year, as well as Stephanie Ann McPherson, Rasheed Dwyer and Nesta Carter, who has been a member of all the Jamaican 4x100m world record men quartets.

Leading the list of overseas stars are American male sprinters Mike Rodgers and Tyson Gay, quarter miler Francena McCorory and Great Britain’s Christine Ohuruogu.

The meeting has lost a few stars as well, with Americans Sanya Richards-Ross and Jasmine Stowers, as well as Canada’s world bronze medallist Andre De Grasee.

The first running event will go off at 7:06 local time, the international men’s 3000m Steeplechase, with the 400m Hurdles international races following.
