Jamaica has named its team for Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022. Shericka Jackson and Elaine Thompson-Herah head the 47-member squad.

Jackson, just last week, was crowned world 200m champion. She ran a championship and Jamaica record 21.41 to beat fellow Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, 21.81. Jackson was second to Fraser-Pryce in the women’s 100m.

Thompson, the Olympic sprint double champion, won bronze in the Oregon22 World Athletics Championships women’s 100m.

When do track and field start at the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022?

The men’s and women’s marathons are the first running events set to start at Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games on Saturday, 30 July.

The track and field action of the Commonwealth Games will run from Tuesday, 2 August through Sunday, 7 August.

How to watch the Commonwealth Games Live Streaming?

The Commonwealth Games live streaming and TV coverage will be available on BBC TV, BBC iPlayer, Red Button, BBC Sport website and BBC Sport mobile app.
Channel 7 and 7Plus will also provide live streaming of the Commonwealth Games in Australia. Canadian fans can watch Commonwealth Games on DAZN.
