STATEN ISLAND: Good Caribbean wins at Great Dane Classic for Lalonde Gordon, Michael Mathieu, Tahesia Harrigan-Scott and Samantha Edwards.
Gordon of Trinidad and Tobago topped the 200m field in 20.77. Bahama's Mathieu ran 46.56 in the 400m, Harrigan-Scott of British Virgin Islands 7.33 in the 60m and Edwards from Antigua 1:11.18 in the 600m.
Meanwhile, over in Fargo, World medalist 2011 Trevor Barry of Bahamas started his indoor season at Bison Classic with 2.25m clearance in the high jump. He plans to jump at 1st International High Jump Tour early February in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
In Winston Salem, Ramon Gittens of Barbados 6.61 and Barbara Pierre 7.24 were fast over 60 at the Wake Forest Invitational.
At the Virginia Tech meet in Blacksburg, Jamaican Dane Hyatt topped the 400m field in 46.85 and Kali Davis-White women 200m in 23.44.
