Grenada has announced plans to stage an international track and field event at the National Stadium next year.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell made the announcement during a media briefing here on Wednesday where he also provided some details about the initiative.
“We’re looking at a very special initiative, an international athletic event next year April, with the Ministry of Sports, Grenada Athletic Association and a private sector group,” he said.
“And I want to say the initiative for this, we were in fact planning, but the initiative is led by the private sector group, led by Michael Bascombe, who discussed this with us and we were very happy to move in that direction.” Click to read more
