Paul-Ann Gayle won the High School Girls’ Championship of America discus title on Thursday’s opening day at Penn Relays 2015.
Gayle of Edwin Allen threw 51.96 metres to take her first Penn Relays title.
Excelsior High’s Shanice Love, who won at Champs and Carifta Games, finished second with 50.44m.
Venique Harris of Ardenne ended 10th with 39.20m while Shyledeen Smith of Petersfield finished 12th with 38.95m.
Also, Bahamian athletes, Serena Brown of St. Augustine’s was 6th with 41.60m and Laquel Harris of Queens College, 15th with 37.43m
