The renowned Texas Christian University will on September 11, 2014 induct Jamaican Olympian Michael Frater O.D. into its Lettermen's Hall of Fame.
Frater distinguished himself at the University majoring in Political Science with a minor in History and was named, in 2003, an Academic All American. He had several significant achievements on the track which earned him countless awards including the 2002 Conference USA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year and the All American Athlete which he won five times. Frater is indeed one of the most decorated student athletes in the history of Track and Field at the University.
A well respected athlete and now policy maker as the Third Vice President of the Jamaica Athletic Administrative Association (JAAA), Frater views this recent achievement as "a personal milestone which carries with it a greater obligation to motivate and inspire." He adds "I am grateful to my university alma mater for this honour which only reminds me of the importance of serving and the value of giving of oneself and one's talent".
A PowerSports Dynasty speaker, Frater will share the spotlight and receive this honour at a blue ribbon banquet with fellow inductees Nick Browne (football/soccer), R.E. Dodson (football), Ellie Gibson (golf) Adam Rubinson (golf) and Walter Soza (swimming).

Frater, a World Championship 100m Helsinki silver medalist and twice gold medalist on Jamaica's 4 X 100m record breaking teams at the Beijing (2008) and London (2012) Olympic Games, ranks among the very few world elite athletes to be inducted by a prestigious university while still competing.
