KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two-time Olympic 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is already looking forward to her 2014 rivalry with American Carmelita Jeter.

With the 2014 track and field season in its early stages, Fraser-Pryce wrote on her Facebook page today that she enjoy competing against Jeter.

The Jamaican sprinter wrote on her Facebook page that “of all my rivals, I like to compete against Carmelita.  When she lines up, she brings out a certain extra drive in you when you compete. She has that look and that technique where you know you have to get a good start because she has that technique that can kill you. It definitely gets me ready."

The American is slightly ahead in head-to-head clashes over 100 metres.

In 25 head-to-head clashes at the distance, Jeter came out on top 13 times, compared to Fraser-Pryce, who finished ahead of the American on 12 occasions.

Fraser-Pryce was leading Jeter in head-to-head clashes, but following her positive test in 2010, the Jamaican result for two of those clashes was erased from the books. Fraser-Pryce, however, won three major titles to Jeter’s one.
