Flow, while not giving a reason for opting not to renew its contract, spoke of their more than decade long contribution.

“This commitment also includes athletics and for more than a decade, through our partnership with the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA), we delivered a significant level of innovation, fan engagement and creativity to the annual staging of the ISSA GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships as a supporting sponsor.
“Our sponsorship agreement with ISSA, which ended in March 2018, will not be renewed as we chart the path for the next chapter of our investment in local sports.
“We extend our heartiest gratitude to the organizers and wish them a safe and successful staging later this year.”
In 2016, Flow announced an investment of US$666,000 (JA$81 million) for three years, ending in 2018, which nearly double the company’s previous commitment.

Champs 2019 will be held at the National Stadium over five days, March 26-30.
Calabar, the defending seven times boys champions, and Edwin Allen, who made it three straight last year, are favourites to defend their titles.
