Elaine Thompson-Herah will open her 2022 season today (29 Jan) at the Queens/Grace Jackson Track Meet in Kingston.

Thompson-Herah, who is also down for the  Birmingham Mûller Indoor Grand Prix on 19 Feb, will run the women’s 60m dash.

The two-time Olympic sprint double champion will go up against Sprintec’s pair of Remona Burchell and Shashalee Forbes.

Also down to contest the event will be Kadisha Dallas, Anastasia Le-Roy, Jura Levy, Ashley Williams and Safiya Thompson.

The men’s 60m will have Oshane Bailey, Michael Bentley, Ackeem Blake, and Bredon Rodney.
