LONDON – According to track-stats.com, Jamaica’s Olympic Games sprint double champion Elaine Thompson, topped the list of prize money earned in 2017 Diamond League meetings with US$134,000.
The Jamaican had seven wins, including her 100m victory in the Brussels final.
Shaunae Miller-Uibo was second with $127,000. High jumpers Mariya Lasitskene ($110,000) and Mutaz Barshim ($100,000) were next.
The top 10 was completed by: 5 Hellen Obiri $93,000, 6 Caster Semenya $91,500, 7= Nijel Amos $90,000, 7= Sam Kendricks $90,000, 7= Ekaterini Stefanidi $90,000, 10= Sandra Perkovic $86,000, 10= Christian Taylor $86,000.
The amounts do not include any bonuses and appearance fees.
