Paul Doyle sees Asafa Powell’s 9.84secs run at the Jamaica Invitational on Saturday night as ‘huge’.

"This is huge for Asafa and for everyone involved to see his return in such a big way," said Powell's agent, Paul Doyle.

"We knew he had it in him and we are glad he came through the race healthy, the wind cooperated and the crowd was with him,” said Doyle.

Former world 100m record holder Powell, who has a personal best is 9.72, clocked in 2008, was also happy with his performance.

"I am going back to basics now and train hard," said Powell with eyes set on the World Championships in Beijing on August 22-30.
