Jamaican Everton Clarke beat American Mike Rodgers at Monday’s (6 Feb) Meeting Elite en salle de l’Eure in Val-de-Reuil, France.
Clarke, who is under the guidance of Maurice Wilson at GC Foster College, won the men’s 60m in 6.57.
Richard Kilty of Great Britain, 6.60secs, and Rodger, 6.63secs, were second and third respectively.
Clarke ran 6.63 in the heats.
Isa Phillips is the other Jamaican winner at the meet. He won the 400m hurdles in 50.05 ahead of Jack Green of Great Britain, 50.64.
Tahesia Harrigan-Scott of BVI, 7.39, finished 3rd in In the women’s 60m, won by Brazilian Rosangela Oliveira Santos, 7.34.
Jamaican Gayon Evans, who ran a personal best 7.17 last weekend, ran 7.28 here in the heats, but skipped the final.
American Candyce McGrone, 23.18secs, won the women’s 200m ahead of her compatriot Jessica Young, 23.56.
USA’s Jasmine Stowers, 8.04secs, was beaten into third position by compatriots Christina Mannings, 7.94 and Jacquelyn Coward, 7.97.
