STILLWATER, Okla. – Jonathan Chung finished off the cross country season at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday (19 Nov) morning.
Competing in the first NCAA Championship meet of his career, Chung finished 252nd with his 10k time of 32:50.7 on the hilly course.
“I’m proud of what Jonathan has done to get to this point and the work he has done to earn a qualifying spot to the national championships,” distance coach Wendel McRaven said. “It wasn’t the day he was hoping for, but he will grow from this experience. Hopefully this is only the first of multiple trips to the national championships.”
Chung’s participation at the meet marks the eighth time since 2010 that the Aggies have been represented at the national championship meet.
