DOHA, Qatar – Jamaica’s long jumper Chanice Porter is here at the 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 to give of her best.
Porter, one of Jamaica’s brightest junior stars, had suffered setbacks with injuries over the last five years.
The former Manchester High student said base on her injury challenges over the years; she is “grateful for where I am at now.”
“Here, I’m hoping for a PR,” she said while adding “if I can hit the Olympic standard that would be great for me.”
She also said, “jumping in Jamaica has been improving over the years.”
