STATEN ISLAND, New York – Jamaican Olympian Sanjay Ayre conditioned Chase Athletics Track Club had two winners Saturday’s (January 13) Great Dane Classic.

Canadian Travia Jones won the women’s 400m in a new meet record of 52.89. Jamaican Sonikqua Walker also of “Chase ATH” was second in 53.81.

Two other Jamaicans Sophia Smellie, 54.36 and Verone Chambers, 54.75 were 4th and 6th respectively.

Jamaican Schillonie Calvert-Powell topped the women’s 60m in 7.30.

Andre Clarke, another Jamaican, ran 47.56 for third in the men’s 400m won by Nigerian Rilwan Alowonle in 46.60.
