NEW YORK – Jermaine Brown is Jamaica’s new 300m indoor record holder.

Brown, a member of Jamaica’s world record breaking 4x200m team at last year’s IAAF World Relays in Bahamas, ran 32.91 seconds at the Armory track Invitational in New York.

The new mark beat the previous best of 32.97 set by Davian Clarke in 2003.

Speaking to TrackAlerts.Com, Brown said “its great to be back in New York, my home town.”
He added, “I came here with the sole purpose to do my best and my best produced a unexpected national indoor record for Jamaica which I'm truly grateful for.”

“I must say it won't stay there,” said Brown, who promised more great times this season.
