Can Britany Anderson be beaten at Champs 2017? The 16-year-old Vere Technical first year Class 2 sprint hurdler was in devastating form at Saturday’s Youngster Goldsmith Classic at the National Stadium.

After running 13.52 against a negative 2.5m/s wind in the heat, the speed hurdler returned, even after running a 100m in 11.89, to take the girls’ Class 2 100m hurdles final in a supberb 13.18 seconds, the wind, -1.6m/s. The time is the fastest ever by a schoolgirl in recent memory.

So fast was Anderson across the hurdles, the next best athlete in the final was Ray-Donna Lee of Hydel in 13.51.
