Usain Bolt helped his team to victory in the mixed 4x100m while Natasha Morrsion won the women’s 100m at Thursday night’s 2nd stop in the Coles Nitro Athletics Series at Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

In the 4x100m mixed relay, Bolt’s All-Stars brought in Jamaican Morrison in a different line-up from the opening night and won. This time around, Prandini led off to Asafa Powell, who passed to Usain Bolt for Morrison to take them home safelty in 40.63.
China got second in 42.35 and England, third in 42.47.

Morrison won the women’s 100m in 11.57 ahead of Australian Riley Day, 11.71 while American Jenna Prandini topped the 60m for Bolt’s team in 7.27.

Michael Frater, 6.78, was 4th in the men’s 60m, won by New Zealand’s Joseph Millar in 6.67.

Bolt’s team of Elijah Kipchirchir and Jeneba Tarmoh, however, had to settle for 5th in the mixed 2x300m relay in 76.15. The event was won by Australia in 70.63.

The mixed 4x400m also saw Bolt’s team down the track, in 6th position, behind winner England in 3:20.22.
Anastasia Marinakou, Jordy Williamsz, Christine Day and Kerron Clement made up Bolt’s team, which crossed the line in 3:29.25

Bolt All-Stars now won both first and second round of Coles Nitro Athletics Series. “I don’t like the fact they we are leaving it that late every night, so we’re definitely going to double up and try to get the points up early,” said Bolt.

Looking towards the final on Saturday night, Bolt revealed that he may compete in the 150m to make sure that his team comes out on top in the inaugural Coles Nitro Athletics Melbourne series.

“A few of the guys weren’t feeling good so we had to switch it up a bit but I think I’ve already told a few of the guys that we’ll have to double up on Saturday, I’ll probably have to double up,” Bolt added. “If we need to do it I’ll probably run the 150m.”
