Akeem Bloomfield, Christopher Taylor and Jamal Walton will headline the youth section of the Cayman Invitational meet on Saturday, May 14 at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.

In 2015, Jamaican Taylor ran 46.06 to beat Cayman Islands’ Jamal Walton, who was second in 46.30.

Since then, Taylor went on to win the World Youth Championship title in 2015 and the Under-18 400m at last month’s Carifta Games.

Walton took silver in the Under-20 Carifta Games 400m final behind another Jamaican Bloomfield.

Bloomfield will only run the 4x100m relay.

Carifta Games 200/400m double champion Sada Williams of Barbados is listed for the one lap event.

Williams is Barbados’ national record holder over 200m with 22.61, a time done in March. Her best time over the one lap event is 52.07, a national junior record.

Meanwhile, Suriname Youth Olympic Games triple jump champion Miguel Van Assen will also be on show.

Kingston College’s (KC) quartet of Shammawi Wellington, Shivnarine Smalling, Tyreke Bryan and Yashawn Hamilton are entered for the 4x100m, 100m and 200m events.

Calabar High’s Dejour Russel and Micheal Stephens will also be in the sprints.
