Yohan Blake is confident he will be fit and ready to take on the sprint double at June’s National Senior Championships.
Blake, in an interview with Reuters, said “how I`m training now, I really think I can get back there (full fitness), so right now I`m not worried.”
And according to the 25-year-old Blake, "based on how my training is feeling right now, I would like to attempt the (100-200) double at the national trials.”
The Jamaica Trials is set for June 25-28 while the Beijing World Championships will be held August 22-28.
Blake suffered a hamstring injury at the Glasgow Grand Prix last July. He has not raced since, but according to his manager Cubie Seegobin, "I`ve watched him train and I`ve seen the times and the progression and like I`ve said, we are ahead of ourselves.”
