Yohan Blake won the men's 200m and Warren Weir topped the 100m event at Saturday's (22 March 2014) UWI Invitational at Usain Bolt Track in Kingston.

Blake, who was more in relax mood, eased down his training track to cross the line in 20.49 seconds. His training partner and Antigua's national Daniel Bailey was second in 20.77 while Michael Fraser ended out of the top three in 21.58.

In the men's 100m, like the men's 200m in very cool conditions, Weir led from start to finish to ease home in 10.31 seconds ahead of his training partner Jason Young 10.49. Ramone Mckenzie of Akan 10.52 had won a earlier heat, the same time as heat 3 winner Isidro Montoya of MVP.

Elaine Thompson of MVP won the Olympic Development 100m women in 11.63 while Shimayra Williams of UTech 11.74 recorded a faster time than Kedisha Dallas of GC Foster 11.80 in the college women's event.

Raymond Brown of GC Foster College was also impressive on the day. He won the men's shot out throw with a personal best 21.17m. Odayne Richards was second with 19.97m.
 
Ristananna Tracey 52.52 topped the women's 400m ahead of her Racers teammate Kerron Stewart 53.44.

Schillonie Calvert of Racers track club 23.20 edged out Anastacia Le-Roy of Sprint Tech in the women's 200m. Natasha Morrison 23.51 had won a earlier heat.

Allodin Fothergill of Racers 45.94, Josef Robertson of Cameron Blazers 46.88, Julian Forte of UTech 47.18 and Darrion Bent of Racers 47.27 were heat winners in the men's 400m.
