The qualification of the men’s high hurdles at the JAAA National Senior Athletics championships went to the form books, as all the main competitors went through to the finals with ease. Omar McLeod, the world leader in the event at 12.97 seconds, set at the Shanghai Diamond League, cruised to victory in a time of 13.43 sec, ahead of Andrew Riley in a time of 13.84 sec and Rohan Cole, 13.92 sec.
In heat Number 2, Tyler Mason clocked 14.10 to win clear, comfortably ahead of Alex Cunningham, who clocked 14.49. The third place finisher was Sancho Barrett in 14.54 sec.
Heat 4 saw the inform Deuce Carter winning clearly in a time of 13.79, from Teivaskie Lewin, in a time of 14.16 sec and in third, was Maurice Harrison, in a time of 16.52 sec.
Of note is the fact that Hansle Parchment was not in the field. Unconfirmed details reaching us, are that he is carrying a slight injury. More details, as they become available to us.
