The season of giving is here and former Jamaica junior athlete Trishana Mcgowan wants to put smiles on the faces some children.

Mcgowan, as a member of MVP Track Club in 2010, led an initiative that saw her handing over gift boxes to the Walker’s Place of Safety in Kingston.

The athletes purchased gifts of their choice and these were handed over by MVP President Bruce James, as well as athletes, Sherone Simpson and Shericka Williams.

“I would love to see the smile on the faces of these children, once more,” said Mcgowan.

However, this year, according to Mcgowan the club is not affiliated with the pending donation.

Mcgowan is seeking the help of sports men and women to help provide for these children at the home of safety.

“In a place of safety, often times they receive no visitors due to the nature of their abuse. I feel compelled to bring a little joy to their young hearts. I look forward to your support for this worthy cause. Each gift will be appreciated by the children,” said Mcgowan.

The date of donation to Walker's Place of Safety will be on Sunday December 20,2015 at 2pm.
