Former World 100m record holder Asafa Powell its hard to forget about his drug suspension because of the wider public.

Powell, who is here in Ireland for Wednesday’s (18 Feb) AIT International Indoor meet, told journalists “It’s been very hard to forget about it.”

According to the man, who previously held the World 100m record of 9.77, “everywhere you go it’s the first thing people want to talk about.”

“So yeah, it’s hard to put it behind you. But right now I’m focused on the future, trying to run fast times again.”

Powell was tested at the 2013 Jamaican Championships for oxilofrine, which was contained in the product Epiphany D1.
