Former world 100m record holder Asafa Powell was second in the men’s 100m at Friday’s (5 May 2017) Doha Diamond League meeting.

Powell crossed the line in 10.08 seconds, a season best, behind South African Akani Simbine, 9.99secs.

American Justin Gatlin finished 4th in 10.14 and Canadian Andre De Grasse, firth in 10.21.
