AUSTIN, USA – Jamaican sprinting star Asafa Powell will open his outdoor season this Saturday with a 100m at Michael Johnson Invitational here in Waco.
Powell is scheduled to run the 200m at Jamaica Invitational (IAAF World Challenge) in Kingston on May 7.
Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare also opens her season in Waco. The World and Olympic medalist will compete over 200 metres.
Also entered is World indoor champion Trayvon Bromell. He could run the 200m.
Michelle-Lee Ahye from Trinidas is listed in both 100m and 200m.
Javier Culson is the 400m hurdles favorite and local star Jeremy Wariner runs the 400m.
