BOSTON, USA – Former world 100m record holder Asafa Powell has been listed for the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.
On Friday (Jan 30), organisers of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix announced 10 more big names, included Powell for the February 7 meet.
Powell is expected to face American Ryan Bailey in the men’s 60m
Olympic pole vault champion Jenn Suhr and Diamond League champion Jenny Simpson have all been added to the second stop of the 2015 Indoor USATF Championship Series.
Other distance stars added to the meet’s line-up include Ethiopia’s Dejen Gebremeskel, Kenya’s Sally Kipyego, Morocco’s Abdelaati Iguider, New Zealand’s Nick Willis and two US stars from different sides of the ever-stretching elite athlete age bracket; Mary Cain and Bernard Lagat.
World Indoor shot champion Ryan Whiting and Christian Cantwell are the big names in the men’s shot put.
Top US jumpers Chaunte Lowe and Tianna Bartoletta will also be in action.
