Annsert Whyte was in record-breaking form at a local meet in Cheb, Czech Republic on Tuesday (Sept 4).
Whyte, Jamaica’s national 400m hurdles champion, clocked meet second best and Central America and the Caribbean (CAC) Area record over 300m hurdles, 34.76secs.
Tibor Koroknai’s Hungarian record run of 35.94 was second while third went to Slovak Martin Kucera, also national all-time best 36.05secs.
World all-time best by Briton Chris Rawlinson is 34.48 from 2002, and Karsten Warholm ran indoors this year 34.26 in Tampere.
Kim Collins won the 60m in 6.80secs and was second in the 150m 16.43. Canadian Brendon Rodney won the 150m in 15.73 and 300m in 33.23.
US Ajee Wilson tested her shape before Continental Cup with 1:26.14 win in the 600m, Drew Hunter was less successful in the 1000m with 2:22.33, beaten by Czech 800m specialist Filip Snejdr 2:21.06.
