Aisha Praught set a new Jamaican steeplechase record at the Doha Diamond League meeting on Friday, 5 May 2017.
Praugh, who started representing Jamaica two years ago, finished 8th in the event, but her time of 9:19.29 is the best ever by a Jamaican.
She improved big time on her previous personal best of 9:31.75 done in 2016.
Korene Hinds, who ran 9:28.86 in Oslo in 2007, had the previous Jamaican record.
