Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is looking to contest both the 100m and 200m at the World Championships in Doha, informs the Jamaica Star.

“The championships are all the way down in October. I would definitely want to do the sprint double but it is up to my coach. I do not shy away from challenges and it is a challenge that I am willing to take on but it is up to my coach,” she said. Fraser-Pryce will contest the 4x200m at the IAAF World Relays in Yokohama.

Perri Shakes-Drayton has said the mixed 4x400m relay at the World Relays could be “what the sport needs,” informs AFP.

“When I saw it was listed on the programme, I thought ‘mixed? A mixed relay?’ It took me by surprise. But it will be interesting and fun. I think that’s what the sport needs. Something different and exciting,” she said.

No 4×4 for Baumgart-Witan
