AMSTERDAM – The 200 m World Champion and European Athlete of the Year 2015 Dafne Schippers got on Tuesday evening another award.
She was elected the Sportswoman of the Year in Netherlands. She received the award at a gala show from former footballer Clarence Seedorf.
The other nominees were swimmer Sharon Van Rouwendaal and gymnast Sanne Wevers. Coach of the Year is Bart Bennema who guides Schippers preparation.
Speedskater Sjinkie Knegt is Sportsman of the Year here.
