Jamaican shot putter Rajindra Campbell has signed with Nike, the brand confirmed this week. The announcement follows a breakout 2026 season that included a national record throw.
Campbell set the mark, 22.44m, at a meet in Zagreb last month. The throw broke the Jamaican Record and stands as his personal best. He has now cleared the 22-meter mark eight times this season, a sign of consistency at the sport’s highest level.
The Olympic bronze medalist called 2026 a year of steady progress. “From the indoor season to now, 2026 has been all about growth, consistency, and progress,” Campbell said in a social media post. “Every competition has been another opportunity to improve and compete with the best in the world.”
Campbell pointed to preparation as the driver behind his results. “The work behind the scenes is paying off, and I’m still building,” he said. “The season isn’t over yet — the best is still to come.”
He confirmed the Nike partnership in the same statement. “Happy to announce I will be continuing my journey as part of the Nike family,” Campbell said.
The Zagreb throw places Campbell among the top shot putters competing this season. With the year still in progress, he is expected to continue chasing bigger marks on the international circuit.
