Six weeks after the explosive women’s 100m final in Eugene, Oregon, athletics fans get another chance to witness the undisputed top three female sprinters in the world square off again, this time in Lausanne, Switzerland on Friday, August 26, 2022.

How to watch Lausanne Diamond League Live streaming?

The meeting popularly known as the Athletissima is the 11th stop in the Wanda Diamond League series of meetings this season.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the newly crowned world champion, has been keeping statisticians busy recently with her prolific season. She will be hoping for perfect wind conditions while fancying her chances to challenge Jamaica’s national record (10.54), which Elaine Thompson-Herah set last year.

Fraser-Pryce, who holds the distinction of having the seven fastest times this season, will be looking to eclipse her personal best of 10.60 seconds achieved exactly one year ago inside the
same stadium.

If she is to achieve that historic feat, she will have some incredible athletes, two of them familiar faces, ensuring that the breeze is not the only factor that will push her to a fast time.

Her compatriots Shericka Jackson and Thompson-Herah have both won prestigious 100m titles since the World Championships.
Thompson-Herah collected the Commonwealth crown, while Jackson is the newly minted NACAC champion. With five of the seven Diamond qualifying races completed, the three will aim to collect precious points to secure places in the final set for Zurich in September.

The sprint hurdles in the programme are also set to produce sizzling times. The women’s 100m hurdles is teeming with talent and all eyes will be on the clock as the world champion and world record holder Tobi Amusan confronts her rivals from the Eugene finals.

Jamaica’s Britany Anderson, Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn and former world record holder Kendra Harrison will add lustre to the event.
The men’s equivalent brings together the world champion, Olympic champion and Commonwealth champion for the first time this season. USA’s Grant Holloway defeated Olympic champion, Hansle Parchment, in Monaco while Broadbell edged Holloway in Hungary. American Trey Cunningham will ensure it is four the hard way when the start gun goes off.

Andrew Hudson, the NACAC 200m champion, makes his Diamond League debut against two-time world champion Noah Lyles and the world junior record holder Erriyon Knighton.

Other Jamaicans in action include Rushelle Clayton, Janieve Russell, Andrenette Knight, Candice McLeod and Stephenie-Ann McPherson.
