Track and field legend Usain Bolt will not encourage his daughter to take up sports.
Bolt and Kasi Bennett welcomed their daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt on May 17, 2020.
Before and after birth, Bolt said “Everybody is already asking, ‘Is she going to run?’
The young father replied: “I won’t push her to play sport.”
However, Bolt will leave the door open for her to decide.
“She can do whatever she wants; I am just here to support [her],” Usain told Wide World of Sports recently.
Usain also spoke about his time as a father so far.
“Fatherhood has been good. It’s been just about living it and experiencing it day by day. I am happy.”
Bolt, who is the world record holder in the 100m (9.58) and 200m (19.19), is an eight-time Olympic gold medallist.
He is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012 and 2016). In addition, he won two 4×100 relay gold medals.
Bolt also won 13 World Championships medals, among them 11 gold.

You don’t have to push her but you should encourage her to, sports is good for the body..
Sport is important because of the many benefits, but yes, allow her to choose her own path, be it for recreation or competitively. Too much pressure to live up to Daddy’s accomplishments.
