Bahamian Olympic Games 400m champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo was the only Caribbean winner at Saturday’s (4 July) Showdown Otown in Claremont, Florida.
Miller won the 200/400m double. She ran 22.61 to top the women’s 200m ahead of Lynna Irby (23.06).
In the 400m, Miller crossed the finish line in 50.52 ahead of Kaylin Whitney 541.99 and Carline Muir 53.26.
Jamaican Britany Anderson ran 23.71 to win her 200m heat but was fifth overall.
Kenny Bednarek won the men’s 200m in 20.06.
