McLeod, Miller-Uibo face world stars for Inspiration Games

The Weltklasse Zurich Inspiration Games will see 30 athletics superstars compete across eight disciplines in an innovative team event spanning seven stadiums and three continents on 9 July.

The innovative format will see the world’s best athletes line up in a series of three-way clashes between Europe, the USA and the Rest of the World.

In the 150m, Shaunae Miller-Uibo, Allyson Felix and home favourite Mujinga Kambundji will face each other virtually from their respective locations.

The event will be the second part of Weltklasse’s “Inspiration Series”, which began with the nationwide “OneMillionRun” event involving 80,000 Swiss residents last May.

Also, in the 300m hurdles Dalilah Muhammad vs Lea Sprunger virtually, while in pole vault Sandi Morris vs Ekaterini Stefanidi.

On the men side, 100 yards with Andre De Grasse, Omar McLeod and Jimmy Vicaut will face-off.

The men’s 200m will see Noah Lyles and Alex Wilson.
The men’s triple jump with Omar Craddock, Pedro Pablo Pichardo and Christian Taylor.

Action will also be in the Women 3×100. This is planned with the Netherlands, Switzerland and.

The locations will be apart of Letzigrund also California, Florida, New York, Lisbon and Papendal.
