Olympic and World gold medalist in the 100m Justin Gatlin confirmed he wants to compete at the Olympic Games 2021.
“He plans to run next year,” confirmed Gatlin’s agent, Renaldo Nehemiah.
“He would not want his career to end this way. The postponement of the Olympics until 2021, will give his body a rest,” added Nehemiah.
Gatlin is the Athens 2004 Olympic Games 100m champion. He also won bronze in the 200m that same year.
“He will be fresh for the 2021 season,” said his agent and former 110m hurdles World record holder Nehemiah.
Overall, Gatlin has five Olympic medals. He has 10 World Championships gold medals, including winning the sprint double in Helsinki 2005. He is the London 2017 100m champion.
