Kevona Davis, one of Jamaica’s brightest sprint talents, will run her first 100m at Saturday’s (15 Feb) the Ben Francis Invitational Meet, set for GC Foster College.
“After her opening in the 200m at STETHS three weeks ago, it is only good to see what she will do in the shorter sprint going into the Championships, as she will only run the 200m at next week’s Central Championships,” said Edwin Allen High’s coach Michael Dyke.
Davis ran 11.19 to win the Class 2 girls’ 100m at Champs in March 2019. Her personal best, however, is 11.16 done to win the same class in 2018.
The Clayton twins are also expected to be on show today.

Once she remains healthy, this season will walk her into new territories where times and making teams are concerned.
Best wishes Kevona!
She’s always only good for Champs then that it. She need better management.
As the world leader over 200m already, this should be an exciting race as the world lead over 100m is 11.38. Let’s go Kevona!
I wouldn’t be surprised if she runs a world lead… she could possibly jog 11.3. Wishing her a healthy 2020!
I can see her making the olympics this year
All the best Kevona.
