Davis wins on Pro debut; Guyanese Abrams tops 400m at USC Indoor Open

COLUMBIA, South Carolina – Tamari Davis won on her Pro debut at Saturday’s (22 Feb) USC Indoor Open at South Carolina Indoor Track and Field Complex.

The 17-year-old ran 7.20 secs to win the women’s 60m, just missing her personal best of 7.19.

Chinese Asian Games relay medalist Liang Xiaojing finished second in 7.21 secs.

Guyanese Aliyah Abrams, representing South Carolina, clocked 52.78 secs to beat Aaliyah Butler of Empire Athletics, 53.03, in women’s 400m.

Widchard Guervil of Tusculum topped the men’s 60m dash in 6.72.

Quincy Hall of South Carolina clocked 45.99 to beat Trevor Stewart of North Carolina A&T, 46.66 secs in the men’s 400m.

Evan Miller, 20.93 secs won the men’s 200m ahead of Akeem Sirleaf of North Carolina A&T, 21.20.
